WebAug 6, 2024 · Surface book 3 function keys not working as intended (F1-F7) I recently got my Surface book 3 and noticed a flaw right away. The function keys (F1-F7) do not work as they are supposed to. The F1 key is supposed to lower the brightness of the screen and the F2 key is supposed to do the opposite. The FN key is an FN lock key (behaves like a caps lock) you don't have to hold it down. The surface 3 pro keyboard unfortunately requires you hit caps and fn to lock it.
