WebSep 14, 2015 · 570 thumper I have a 570 Thumper kit in my KTM 450, however, I selected the RFS engine as it already has a long 72mm stroke. I have been absolutely impressed with this engine, great torque with smooth power. Did a stage three cam with 12.5 to 1 piston. Starts and runs flawless, couldn't be happier.

WebSep 15, 2009 · The KTM has its warts in the form of the 450 & 525 have insufficient cooling capacity built into them. Mine overheats continually even with cooling fan upgrades etc in the tight, first gear stuff. This is unforgiveable for an enduro based bike in my eyes that is sold as "race ready"...laughable actually. Web2006 KTM 525 EXC Original owner, this bike is in near perfect condition. The motors vibrate some, the forks may need a revalve, and some clutches drag some.
